Kennesaw State Unveils the KSU Owls Exchange to Maximize NIL Opportunities

Kennesaw State Athletics, in conjunction with Influencer, is pleased to announce the start of the KSU Owls Exchange to expand Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for KSU student-athletes. The launch continues Kennesaw State’s preparations to maximize opportunities for its student-athletes as it moves into Conference USA and the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) July 1.

This modernized platform is a free service to both student-athletes and third parties with a directory and customized portal to connect businesses, collectives, donors, alumni, and fans with student-athletes for NIL transactions.

“We are constantly evaluating what is best for our student-athletes in a constantly changing industry, and we are excited to provide the KSU Owls Exchange for our participating student-athletes and Owl Nation,” said Director of Athletics Milton Overton. “Amplifying our student-athletes’ opportunities and brands as we enter a higher level of exposure within Conference USA is important. The technology and resources leveraged with this Influencer partnership will allow more opportunities for our Owls and efficient access for businesses, while holding education and compliance in high regard.”

Upon registration, a business will have access to a searchable database and can filter through our student-athletes. They will have the ability to direct message the student-athlete or request contact information to begin discussions about any potential NIL transaction. All transactions are subject to KSU, Conference USA, and NCAA policies and procedures.

After finalizing an NIL deal, student-athletes will be able to complete a compliance disclosure within the Influencer app. The app includes a payment-processing tool for the business to pay securely and directly, including without transaction fees.

“We are excited to partner with Kennesaw State to launch a fee-free NIL marketplace,” said Teamworks Influencer General Manager Sean Kelly. “The launch of the KSU Owls Exchange will unlock new opportunities for their student-athletes, allowing them to monetize their brand and pursue NIL deals at a larger scale.”
