Peanut Butter and Jelly time

Local residents, customers and friends of Bank of North Georgia are encouraged to visit any of its 43 branches from Monday, July 12 through Saturday, July 31 and drop off as much peanut butter and jelly as they can carry. As part of their third annual Back-to-School Peanut Butter and Jelly Food Drive, the banking team would love to see both creamy and crunchy varieties of peanut butter and every imaginable flavor of jelly to appeal to every child in metro Atlanta.

Recognizing that there is an urgent need for food that offers good nutrition to children, Bank of North Georgia is once again focusing on a staple lunchtime classic – peanut butter and jelly – in preparation for the busy school year that will kick off in August throughout metro Atlanta.

The items collected will benefit 27 local food pantries that are located near the bank’s 43 branches. Click here for locations.

Last year, Bank of North Georgia collected 2,861 jars at 4,624 pounds, which is almost two and a half tons of PB&J or 36,995 sandwiches for children in metro Atlanta. Creamy peanut butter was the clear winner over crunchy and the bank received more grape jelly than any other flavor.
