Georgia Symphony’s Venues of Valor Performance Series Honors Local Veterans

The Georgia Symphony Orchestra’s new Venues of Valor performance series honors local veterans and their families through the magic of live music.

Music possesses a remarkable ability to energize, relax, heal, trigger memories, elicit unexpected emotions, alleviate stress, overcome barriers and foster unity among individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

The GSO has partnered with the Georgia Veterans Network to deliver some of this musical magic to area military veterans in appreciation for their sacrifices, especially those who are working to overcome physical or mental challenges resulting from their service to our nation.

The program is financed entirely through community support. Donations to a special Venues of Valor fund allows the GSO to offer small-ensemble performances at local veterans’ organizations, such as the Veterans Administration Hospital or Veterans Empowerment Organization.
