Cobb EMC, one of the largest electric co-ops in the country and long-time Cobb Chamber member, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
Cobb EMC began in August 1938 with just 160 miles of electric line and 503 customers at its first switch-on. Now, Cobb EMC boasts more than 10,000 miles of line and more than 176,000 electric customers.
The company will spend this year celebrating and reminiscing on milestones from its past while continuing to honor the business values set forth by its original seven elected directors and project manager. Cobb EMC maintains its commitment to its members by providing a reliable source of electricity at a reasonable price.
