Gaskins prides itself as a service based company offering services in civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture and arboriculture, and environmental and construction management. Adversity
From 2007 through 2011, Gaskins faced some of the most challenging times in the business’ history -thirteen of their top 15 clients ceased to do business, revenues fell from $7 million to $1 million, the company wrote-off $1 million in bad debt and long-time owner Johnny Gaskins began his fight with the devastating disease ALS. In the face of adversity, Gaskins began a long road back to the top. The company was able to find an outstanding leader and CEO in Brandon Hutchins, maintain stability through layoffs and write-offs, and continue to pursue a company strategy that included acquiring two competing companies.
