CCH unit putting new HQ in Kennesaw

CCH Small Firm Services reported  it will consolidate its headquarters into new space in Cobb County in the third quarter. The company will open a new 130,000-square-foot headquarters in Kennesaw in the Chastain Meadows office park off Chastain Road and just east of Interstate 575.

The facility will include state-of-the-art information technology and will house the primary SFS Electronic Filing Center, which last year transmitted nearly 20 million federal and state tax returns to the Internal Revenue Service and state revenue agencies.

“We are always proud to have a company like CCH select Cobb County as their home, especially when they have so many quality choices in the Southeast. We look forward to helping them grow as they continue to meet the needs of the business community and the citizens of Georgia,” said Commission Chairman Sam Olens.

CCH Small Firm Services now has more than 600 full-time employees working in Kennesaw and Rome; Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and Caribou, Maine. The consolidation of employees into the new headquarters will start in summer 2010 and be finished by 2012. CCH Small Firm Services, a unit of Wolters Kluwer, provides tax and accounting software, research and training to more than 45,000 small firms in the United States and Puerto Rico.
