Spanish for the Business Professional

Businesses are constantly being challenged to serve their Spanish-speaking clients due to language and cultural barriers. Taking speed or leisure-based language courses for travel serves a specific purpose, but may not always meet the needs of your Spanish-speaking client. Understanding both basic business phrases and the behavioral cues of your clients based on their culture helps establish a rapport with your clients. Developing your relationship with your clients will make it easier for your clients to choose your company over others when doing business.

Join Patty Smitherman of Communicata Language Services, LLC  for a seven-week Conversational Spanish for Business Professionals course that will teach you about the Latino culture and applicable business phrases that bridge the communication gap between Spanish-speaking colleagues, clients and employees.

After this course, you will be able to

  • Forge new business relationships
  • Close communication gaps with colleagues, clients and employees
  • Provide better customer service
  • Boost employee morale and retention

The course will be held at Futren Corporation, convenient to I-75 and Windy Hill Road onTuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning on March 20. The dates of the classes are March 20, 27; April 17, 24; and May 1, 8. The final class is Tuesday, May 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost of the course is $100 if you register with a friend, $150 for Chamber members and $200 for non-members. The deadline to register is this Friday, March 16.  Register online.
