In the spirit of Saint Leo University’s celebration of Academic Excellence Day, Alpha Kappa Delta and the School of Arts and Sciences will present a sociology research symposium featuring guest speaker Dr. David L. Brunsma on “Sociology for Life,” 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
The symposium will be held at Saint Leo’s Marietta Education Center, 1395 South Marietta Parkway, Building 300, Suite 104, Marietta, GA 30067, near Atlanta. The seminar will be shown by livestream via Video Teaching and Teleconferencing (VTT) to other education centers. It will begin at 5 p.m. with student research presentations and prizes for outstanding oral presentation and outstanding poster presentation, followed by speaker Brunsma at 6 p.m.
Brunsma is a professor of sociology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has written extensively about the “school uniform movement.” He teaches about human rights, race, and racism.
