The Council for Accelerated Programs has named Barbara Calhoun, the recipient of the
Excellence in Leadership Award, a designation that recognizes exemplary leadership and outstanding achievements. Calhoun is the dean of the College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University, where she has worked for more than 20 years. She will be honored at the 2016 CAP Conference in Austin, Texas on July 27.
Calhoun’s previous awards include the 2015 Continuing Education Leadership Award by the Association for Continuing Higher Education, southern region; 2014 Leadership Award by Association for Continuing Higher Education; 2014 Outstanding Service Medallion Award by American Association for Adult and Continuing Education.
