GSO Jazz Performs Music of the University of North Texas One O’clock Lab Band

Sam Skelton and the GSO JAZZ! will return to the Earl Smith Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square to present music of the University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band at 8 p.m. on March 18.  The One O’Clock Lab Band:  “Seven Grammy nominations! Multitudes of great composers, performers, and educators all throughout the music world. Over 60 recordings and a tradition that just keeps swingin’…”

The March 18 performance will present the GSO JAZZ! big band, which is known for playing jazz standards, swing, and contemporary compositions. Bandleader and saxophonist Sam Skelton has recorded with Elton John, Matchbox 20, Train, and The Ohio Players, among others. GSO JAZZ! is part of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra organization.

The Earl Smith Strand Theatre is located at 117 North Park Square on the Marietta Square. Tickets are $28 for adults, and $10 for students.
