Nobis Works to Host Galaxy of Stars Luncheon

Nonprofit Nobis Works is hosting its annual Galaxy of Stars luncheon on Friday, April 28th at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center. This year is particularly special as Nobis Works is celebrating 40 years of changing the lives of more than 25,000 individuals and their families in the community.

The Galaxy of Stars event brings together corporate and community leaders to celebrate the accomplishments of people with disabilities in the workplace and to recognize the impact that Nobis Works’ programs and partnerships have had on their lives.

This year’s event will be emceed by WSB-TV Sports Anchor Anthony Amey and will include special performances by Nobis Works program participants. Eight outstanding individuals and employers will be recognized for going above and beyond to further the Nobis Works mission.

2017 Galaxy of Stars sponsors include:

  • Presenting Sponsor: WellStar
  • Constellation Sponsors: Georgia Power, Publix Super Markets Charities
  • Comet Sponsors: SunTrust, Atlanta Falcons, Cobb EMC Community Foundation, Pursuant Health

“We are looking forward to celebrating 40 years of changing lives with so many friends in the community. Galaxy of Stars provides a platform to recognize those people and businesses who have given so much to serve people with disabilities in our community,” President and CEO Dave Ward remarked. “At the same time, we want to focus attention on the individuals we serve and work with every day. The Galaxy of the Stars luncheon provides us with a platform to have some fun and to show just how much their hard work and commitment means to us.”

Nobis Works would not be able to fulfill its mission and make dreams a reality without the funds generated through Galaxy of Stars. Individuals and corporations are invited to be a part of the Nobis Works mission by supporting the event.
