Atlanta Braves Announce Donation and Activation for Hurricane Harvey Relief For Games versus Texas Rangers and Miami Marlins

The Atlanta Braves will make a $25,000 donation to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.  During the next seven home games, Monday, September 4 through Sunday, September 10, the team will:

    • Donate the Atlanta Braves Foundation’s share of each night’s 50/50 raffle (that money is included in the $25,000 total)
    • Feature Braves players collecting monetary donations at the entrance gates on Monday, September 4
    • FOX Sports South and 680 the Fan will remind fans who have tuned into the game that they can donate to the American Red Cross
    • Work with the United Way of Greater Atlanta and Atlanta Peach Movers to collect items which the United Way will deliver to the Texas United Way when appropriate
      • Items in need are: diapers, baby wipes, lip balm, comb/brush, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, first aid items, lotion, razors, sanitizer, reusable water bottle, soap, socks, sunscreen, toothbrush/toothpaste, underwear, wash cloths
      • An Atlanta Peach Movers truck will be located in the surface parking lot across from the Third Base Gate for donation drop offs beginning on Monday at 3 p.m.

“Those who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey are in our thoughts and prayers,” said Terry McGuirk Braves Chairman and CEO.  “In particular, we are thinking of our friends at the Houston Astros and their families.”
