Sage Woodfire Tavern fans have a lot to cheer about.  Sage, one of Atlanta’s most popular restaurant groups, is doubling the number of their locations between now and the end of this year.  Only weeks away from opening its third location, the newest restaurant will be located at the busy intersection of Powers Ferry and Windy Hill, 3050 Windy Hill Rd. SE Atlanta, GA 30339.  Sage will be taking over where Houston’s provided food and service to packed crowds daily.  Later this year Sage Buckhead will open in the location previously occupied by Morton’s Steakhouse, just blocks away from Lenox Mall in the heart of Buckhead.

Located nearby SunTrust Park, the new East Cobb location will provide area businesses and residents of Marietta with the same great food and service that patrons have come to love at the family-owned company’s two other long-standing locations in Alpharetta and Dunwoody.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 7th, where District 2 Commissioner Bob Ott, along with Karen Handel, House Representative for the 6th District will be on hand to celebrate this joyous occasion.  Afterwards distinguished guests and dignitaries will be treated to an open house where they will be able to sample complimentary food and drinks between 11:30am and 3:30pm.  Sage will officially open to the general public starting approximately 4:00 pm.

Sage is best known for their hickory and oak wood fire grill preparations of an assortment of market fresh fish and seafood, hand-cut steaks, chops, and chicken.  Sage also features a wide variety of gourmet salads and unique pastas.  The quality and innovation of their dishes, as well as the relaxing ambiance and uplifting nightly entertainment are what guests have come to expect when dining at Sage.  Woodfire Grilled Salmon“Our priority is to insure that our guests feel like an honored visitor in my family’s home,” says James Liakakos, President of Sage Woodfire Grill Restaurant Group.

The owners have completely remodeled the interior to create an eye catching, globally inspired design.  One of the talents of the owner James Liakakos, is that he has a great eye for design and has put his personal touch and over 35 years of experience into making the new interior absolutely gorgeous.  Patrons will find new leather booths, new flooring and new lighting fixtures throughout the restaurant, including a very “cool” all concrete bar trimmed in oak.

Local corporations in the surrounding East Cobb area have already expressed excitement for the opening of Sage and are invited to the grand opening and ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 7th.  The local community and businesses are looking forward to Sage becoming a hot spot for business lunches, after work meet ups, and enjoying their nightly entertainment and happy hours featuring both food and drink specials. The restaurant will seat 250 guests very comfortably in their completely renovated dining room and has a private dining room that serves up to 70 guests for business meetings, family get–togethers, or any special occasion for personal or business use.

The new Sage Woodfire Tavern’s bar program is sure to be a popular feature, with their innovative selection of beers including several imports on tap, and a cocktail menu highlighting handcrafted traditional and innovative drinks.  Patrons can sip their favorite cocktail at the elegantly appointed bar or they can step outside onto the newly remodeled patio, featuring a beautiful waterfall.
