Georgia Crafted announced today that their 2017 Flavor of Georgia Gift Box will be available for purchase on November 18 at Amy’s Hallmark Shop in Norcross, Georgia. Amy’s Hallmark Shop discovered the Atlanta gift box business after one of their employees received a Georgia Crafted gift box. The retail chain’s Norcross store partnered with Georgia Crafted to promote local products, specifically the state’s top artisan goods from the 2017 Flavor of Georgia competition hosted by the University of Georgia.

“The University of Georgia’s Flavor of Georgia has been highlighting and promoting the state’s diverse, delicious food products for more than a decade, with over 1,200 total entries and a long list of success stories,” said Sharon P. Kane, Economist and Food Business Development Specialist at the UGA Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development.

“Our participants tell us that the contest provides them with recognition, credibility, and exposure for their products as well as networking with others in the food industry, bringing the potential for improved business operations and new sales opportunities. Our partnership with Georgia Crafted and the popularity of the Flavor of Georgia boxes demonstrate this process in action.”

The 2017 Flavor of Georgia Gift Box contains homemade, organic food products from winners and finalists of this year’s competition, including:

  • Overall Flavor of Georgia Winner: Pecan Butter, Georgia Grinders Premium Nut Butters
  • Snack Food Winner: Toasted Sriracha Pecans, Goodson Pecans LLC
  • Sauces and Seasonings Winner: Campfire Salt, Beautiful Briny Sea Salt
  • Flavor of Georgia Finalist: Sausage Cheese Ball Mix, Back to Basics 101
  • Flavor of Georgia Finalist: Wildflower Honey, H.L. Franklin’s Healthy Honey

“We are really excited to be working with Georgia Crafted. They offer a wide selection of gift boxes helping our customers celebrate all their milestone occasions making each one memorable,” reported Amy’s Hallmark Manager Krystal Woodall.
