On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, LGE Community Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its 11th financial center, located in the Jonquil Shopping Center by Publix on Atlanta Road in Smyrna.
The event included remarks from LGE President and CEO Chris Leggett, a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and entertainment from B98.5FM. As an ode to the rich history of the city, the company provided guests with refreshments from McEntyre’s Bakery, a longtime Smyrna favorite.
“We’re very excited about being in Smyrna. LGE already has a strong footprint in nearby Austell, but as we move forward we’re trying to deepen our relationship with the communities we serve. We believe our new model and new location allows us to serve our members beyond simply facilitating transactions, to add the value they’ve come to expect from LGE Community Credit Union,” said Leggett.
The new Smyrna location continues the company’s growth in Cobb County, coming shortly after the opening of LGE’s 10th location in West Cobb late last year. LGE now has seven total branches in Cobb County out of the 11 in its four-county footprint.
“We are so appreciative of our partnership with LGE, and it’s because of businesses like [LGE] that we have been able to speak so much to the economic development and impact that businesses are making on Cobb County,” said Melissa Sabia, vice president of member development at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.
To celebrate its grand opening, the LGE Smryna financial center is offering specials through May 29, 2018. More information about the new location and promotions can be found at lgeccu.org/smyrnago.
