Cobb Chamber Names Britt Fleck of Georgia Power its 2021 Chairwoman

Fleck_Britt_007Today, the Cobb Chamber’s Board of Directors has named Britt Fleck of Georgia Power its 2021 Chairwoman of the Board and 2020 Chair-Elect.

Fleck will succeed John Loud, President and CEO of LOUD Security System, who begins his term as Chairman of the Board in 2020 and succeeds 2019 Board Chairman Mitch Rhoden, CEO of Futren Hospitality. Fleck will start her term as Chairwoman in January 2021.

I’m certain she will bolster our efforts with SelectCobb to create more jobs, elevate our pro-business advocacy initiatives to enhance our business climate, enhance the value we continue to provide to our members, and I’m excited for her to lead our 2019 Membership Campaign, which helps to secure the future of our Chamber. Britt is an experienced leader and is just the right person for 2021 to lead us to advance a vibrant economy.”

Fleck is the Regional Director of the Metro West Region at Georgia Power, one of the largest producers of electricity in the nation. In her role as Regional Director of the Metro West Region, Fleck leads operations, customer service and sales for five counties and approximately 175,000 customers. She is involved with economic and community development initiatives and strategic planning with executive leadership.

Fleck joined the Cobb Chamber’s Board of Directors in 2015. In that time, she has served in many capacities, including as Vice Chair of Marketing and Communications on the Executive Board, as Team CEO during the Chamber’s Membership Campaign, as a member of the Government Affairs Committee, the transportation advocacy subcommittee and served on the CEO Selection Committee. In addition, Fleck is a member of the SelectCobb Board of Directors, an economic and community development strategy led by the Cobb Chamber. Fleck is a member of the 2018 Leadership Cobb class and the Chamber’s Chairman’s Club.

Fleck upholds the Georgia Power motto, “A Citizen Wherever We Serve” in various roles within community organizations. She is a Kennesaw State University Foundation Trustee, Kennesaw State University President Advisory Committee member, Board of Directors member for the WellStar Foundation and the Town Center Community Improvement District, and has been appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Board of Directors of the Georgia Department of Driver Services.

Fleck is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering, and of Kennesaw State University, where she earned a master’s in finance. Fleck and her husband John have three daughters and they attend St. Benedict Catholic Church. The Fleck family resides in Duluth.
