We want your ideas and input.
Wednesday, October 24, 6-8PM – Public meeting in Marietta!
Metro Atlanta is a regional center for arts and culture with a national and international presence in the work it produces. From arts nonprofits to the commercial creative industries (including film, tv, music, and video games) to public art to festivals and informal arts experiences, residents of the 10-county region enjoy, expect, and deserve access to arts opportunities.
To build upon ARC’s existing arts and culture work (ALMA , Regional Public Art Program, Cultural Forums), we are partnering with the firm CivicMoxie to create the Arts, Culture, and Creative Placemaking plan that will prioritize and guide the work of the agency over the next five years. The strategy will encompass all the ARC’s arts and culture work throughout the 10 metro counties: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale.
- Attend a public meeting!
Come learn about the plan and share your thoughts about arts and culture in your community and metro Atlanta.
- October 23, 6-8PM, Arts Clayton (Jonesboro, Clayton County)
- October 24, 6-8PM, KSU’s Marietta Dance Theatre (Marietta, Cobb County)
For more information and to RSVP, visit our plan page.
- Sign-up for a Civic Dinner!
At Civic Dinners, six to 10 people get together over a meal and a focused, meaningful conversation about issues that matter to our future. People tell us they’re fun, and that they break down barriers. We’ve designed a series of Civic Dinners to engage attendees in a discussion about their experiences of arts and culture in the region, and their visions for how Atlanta’s cultural landscape should expand into the future. You could be at the next meal!
Visit the plan page to learn more and to sign up to attend or host a dinner!
