Capital City Bank Group Foundation Awards Nearly $200K to Local Charitable Institutions

Donating Annually for Over 35 Years to Nonprofits Across Florida, Georgia and Alabama

Capital City Bank Group (CCBG) Foundation – a nonprofit organization created in 1983 by Capital City Bank Group, Inc. – has donated annually for 38 years to charitable institutions across the Capital City footprint in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. During the 2021 grant cycle, the CCBG Foundation reinvested $188,300 into more than 275 local charitable institutions. Donations were awarded to recipients by way of dedicated grants, academic scholarships, memorial gifts and the CCBG Foundation matching gifts program throughout the year to organizations such as Interfaith Food Closet, Child Advocacy Center of Gainesville, Make-A-Wish Georgia, Bradford County Community Faith Center, Grady County Fine Arts Project, Citrus Hearing Impaired Program Services, Partnership for Strong Families, Alzheimer’s Project, Inc., Warriors Wellness and Recovery Ranch, Inc., Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation, Boyz to Kings, United Way of St. Johns County, East Alabama Food Bank and Florida Wild Mammal Association, Inc. The contributions provided by the CCBG Foundation help nonprofits carry on the mission of the Foundation to enhance the quality of life for countless local citizens.

The grants provided by the Foundation are intended to help organizations enhance the lives of local residents through community-based projects.

The CCBG Foundation provides grants to nonprofits, charitable organizations and institutions exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The mission of the CCBG Foundation is to invest in initiatives that benefit local communities. Most of the funds are distributed to specific areas of focus, including: arts/culture, children/youth services, economic/community development, education, health/sciences and human services.
