Mount Paran Christian varsity girls basketball coach Stephanie Dunn has reached a milestone 100 wins during her tenure as head coach for the Lady Eagles. Overall, this is her 369th win, as Dunn earned a collective 269 wins during her time at St. Pius X Catholic High School and Berry College.
In addition to serving as MPC Girls Basketball Head Coach, Dunn is also the Director of Admission for Mount Paran Christian School. She has served as the NCAA National Committee Regional Chairperson for the South Region and was named the 2019 Atlanta Journal Constitution Cobb County Coach of the Year, an honor earned in only her second year of coaching for MPC. The varsity team in 2019 was Region runner-up and reached the GHSA Elite 8, finishing with an impressive 24-4 record. The 2020 team finished in the Sweet 16, losing by a narrow margin to Holy Innocents.
For the current season, Dunn’s Lady Eagles are 18-4, having played 13 top ten teams in multiple classifications in Georgia and Florida. The team heads to the Region playoffs this week, with the ever-elusive State championship in sight. Dunn has led the Lady Eagles to the playoffs every year since taking the helm during the 2017-2018 season. Of her time at Mount Paran Christian School, Dunn says, “It is a tremendous honor to coach at MPCS. The type of students I work with daily is exactly why I came back to coach at the high school level. They are respectful, hardworking, and eager to achieve their personal and team goals. We have played the best competition in the state because we are on a quest for a State championship. I pray that it will happen this year; if not, we will continue to strive for excellence. It has become our program standard.”
Previously, Dunn was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Assistant to the Sports Information Director at Berry College and was formerly the Associate Director of Admission and Head Girls Basketball Coach at St. Pius X Catholic High School. While at St. Pius, Dunn led her team to three State championships, six Region championships, and assisted with signing numerous student-athletes to Division I, II, and III collegiate basketball programs around the country. She earned Georgia High School Coach of the Year accolades in each of her title-winning seasons, and was named Region Coach of the Year in 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007.
She also claimed Metro Atlanta Coach of the Year honors in 2007. She began her career as a player at the University of Georgia, competing in the Final Four under Coach Andy Landers.

Coach Dunn is someone who pushes me to be my best every single day; she continues to inspire me and not only have confidence in me, but allows me to have confidence in myself. The effort she has put into this program has been on display for the past five years, and that’s exactly why she has achieved 100 wins at Mount Paran.”
