Marietta Area Council Welcomes Retired Chief Dan Flynn on March 23

Join the Cobb Chamber for the first Marietta Area Council of the year on March 23 as retired Chief Dan Flynn shares about his decades of service in law enforcement and reflects on his time leading the Marietta Police Department.

Chief Flynn retired in January after fifteen years of service to the City of Marietta. Prior to his appointment with the Marietta Police Department, Chief Flynn served as Chief of the Savannah Police Department, Chief of the Savannah-Chatham Police Department, and as Major assigned to Special Patrol Bureau Commander with the Miami-Dade Police Department. His philosphy on community policing has led the department to new heights with the invention of several new programs under his tenure, including the Public Safety Ambassadors, Pastors Forum, and the Cyber Specialist Unit.

Registration is open until March 18 at www.cobbchamber.org/events. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $30 for Cobb Chamber members and $40 for general admission. Walk-up admissions and payment cannot be granted.

This event is sponsored by Series Presenting Sponsor, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
