CobbWorks New Building Ceremony

CobbWorks unveiled the design of the new CobbWorks Workforce Development Center. The new worksource center will be the preeminent resource for education, training, and employment for residents and employers in Cobb County. Housed with a fully resourced computer lab, large meeting rooms, co-working spaces and offices for small business and entrepreneurs, the building will not only serve as a resource for jobseekers but also as the central source for employers seeking talent.

The CobbWorks Workforce Development Center will act as a catalyst for economic development and alleviate poverty by improving employment and education outcomes for residents and build talent pipelines for employers.

The event had numerous supporters behind it such as Lisa Cupid, Cobb County Board of Commission Chairwomen, Minique Sheffield, District 4 Cobb Commissioner, Cobb Country Government staff, and CobbWorks board members and staff. All of have put great amounts of work into seeing this project blossom. They are beyond excited to see what the endeavor will bring to the county.

A huge thanks is also in place for Cobb Fire, because the first fire station in the county is where this project is now taking place, bringing new life to the station. The location continues to serve its county, only now doing so through new employment and education.
