Paramount Pediatrics, a new pediatric therapy clinic aimed at providing superior evaluations and individualized therapy plans for children in Cobb County, opened Monday, November 7th, to a groundswell of excitement and anticipation.
Paramount Pediatrics, located at 1620 Mulkey Road, Suite #210, Austell, GA, which sits in the shadows of WellStar Cobb Hospital and Piedmont Urgent Care, is ideally situated to serve both toddlers and school-age children in need of therapeutic services to help with developing, improving, or regaining cognitive and motor functions. Paramount is led by Danais Torres Acosta, who earned her Master of Science in communicative sciences and disorders at California State University, East Bay, in 2016. Acosta, who speaks perfect Spanish and English, is a young lady who easily relates to children and has years of experience in addressing communication challenges, including diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. Her vigor, relatability, and ability to work effectively with students impacted by speech and language impairments, has helped gain her a contract to serve students with the Cobb County schools district.
Acosta and her team were joined by the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce at her ribbon cutting ceremony on November 1. Cobb County District 4 Commissioner Monique Sheffield also joined the event to celebrate the new health entity that will provide service to hundreds of families with children that struggle with articulation, dysfluency, motor speech and language disorders that threaten their opportunities for superior educational and vocational opportunities.
