Bonnie Buckner Reavis Assumes Role as Chairwoman of the Board
The Marietta Arts Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Abby Smith as its new Executive Director. Smith succeeds Bonnie Buckner Reavis, who will transition to the role of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
Abby Smith brings a wealth of experience and passion for the arts to her new role as Executive Director. Having served as both Secretary and Board Chair for the organization, Smith has been instrumental in many of the organization’s efforts. While continuing her role as Manager of Visit Marietta, Abby is poised to lead the Marietta Arts Council in advancing its mission to enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of the City of Marietta through advocacy, education, and public art.
Bonnie Buckner Reavis, outgoing Executive Director and newly appointed Chairwoman of the Board, expressed confidence in Abby’s ability to lead the organization: “Abby brings a fresh perspective and a deep commitment to the arts. I am confident that under her leadership, the Marietta Arts Council will continue to thrive and bring even more artistic enrichment to our city.”

Bonnie Buckner Reavis will assume the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and continue to provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Marietta Arts Council.
