New for 2024, the Cobb Chamber Taylor | English Classic includes an exciting cornhole tournament and poolside reception.
Registration is now open for the 2024 Cobb Chamber | Taylor English Classic, a golf and cornhole tournament with a poolside reception. The tournament will be held on Monday, Sept. 16 at Indian Hills Country Club in East Cobb.
Known as one of the largest and best golf tournaments in Cobb County, the Cobb Chamber | Taylor English Classic provides Chamber members the opportunity to enjoy a day on Indian Hills’ golf courses and pool deck with business friends, clients, or prospects, and to network with Cobb Chamber leadership and board members. This annual sell-out event fills up fast, so participants are encouraged to register early to be guaranteed a spot.
For 2024, we’re excited to bring a new offering to the tournament, a high-energy cornhole tournament and pool party. Business professionals are invited to register a foursome for the golf tournament, a team for the cornhole tournament, or register for an afternoon at the Indian Hills pool.
The golf tournament is a four-person Ft. Lauderdale scramble and begins with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. and players will have the opportunity to take part in interactive games throughout the course.
The cornhole tournament features teams of two battling each other in a round robin format. Teams and spectators are invited to enjoy live entertainment, snacks, and drinks at the Indian Hills pool throughout the afternoon. The day culminates with an awards reception on the pool deck, celebrating the winners of each tournament and includes raffle for fun prizes.
Golf registration and the driving range open at 9 a.m. and the chipping/putting contest is at 9:15 a.m. The cost is $265 per golfer or $1,000 per foursome. New for this year, the cornhole is $100 per team (two players).
Businesses can take advantage of the marketing opportunity the tournament presents through several levels of sponsorship. Sponsorship participation allows local businesses to show support for the Cobb Chamber and those participating, along with positive messaging for their company. All sponsorship levels include different forms of signage and advertising at the event and recognition in Chamber communications. The top levels include event participation.
