Friends of Cobb County,
We’re proud to share that the C-130J Super Hercules, built in Cobb County for the last 70 years by generations of Georgia-based team members, has reached the final round of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Coolest Thing Made in Georgia competition.
This isn’t just a proud moment for Lockheed Martin. It’s a chance to recognize the tens of thousands of Georgians whose seven decades of work on the C-130 program has helped power our state’s economy and aerospace ecosystem – and strengthened national and global security.
📌 Fast facts about the Hercules in Georgia:
- 16,000+ direct and indirect jobs supported statewide, including 5,500+ in Cobb County alone
- $4.5 billion in annual economic impact
- Proudly flown by Airmen at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Moody Air Force Base, and Savannah ANG Base
- Trusted by the U.S. military and 70 allied nations
Now we’re asking for your help to bring this honor home to Cobb!
