Wellstar Health System expands GI + Colon & Rectal at our East Cobb Health Park Surgery Center. The expansion started early 2025 with a phased in approach to allow the practice to start seeing patients as early as June 2025 by adding 4 NEW procedure rooms. The completion of the project to include a new pharmacy, prepost rooms, and the addition of a firewall was completed by the end of 2025. This expansion reflects Wellstar’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for Digestive Health Services locally. By having comprehensive GI and Colon & Rectal care closer to home, patients can now access expert physicians without traveling far. East Cobb Health Park is a one-stop shop for outpatient care. The continued expansion of services strengthens our ability to provide world-class services in the East Cobb community. Our GI clinicians include Dr. Asra Batool, Dr. Ather Bukhari, Dr. Joshua Foromera, & Dr. Seema Kumar who are already performing procedures at ECHP. Dr. Jay Singh and Dr. Jose Andujar are our Colon & Rectal clinicians also performing procedures in the new GI expanded space.
