Get ready to shine brighter than ever at a fundraiser and Atlanta Pride Celebration 2024, hosted at Schoolhouse Brewing! This year’s theme, “Everyone Needs to Glow Up,” promises a day filled with vibrant energy, joy, and unity as we come together to celebrate the spirit of Pride. All proceeds from the event benefit the Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) and the annual Atlanta Pride festival in October.
Pride is more critical now than ever as we continue to confront the challenges of inequality, discrimination, and the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights. In this climate, Atlanta Pride stands out not only as a beacon of hope but as one of the longest-running Pride celebrations in the nation. Remarkably, it remains one of the few large-scale Pride events that is entirely free, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can participate and celebrate the progress we have made while also recognizing the work that still needs to be done. Atlanta Pride is more than a celebration; it is a vital platform for visibility, community, and advocacy, bringing together people from all walks of life to stand in solidarity and push for a more inclusive and equitable future.
“I joined the Pride board because I believe in the power of community and the importance of standing up for equality and inclusion. Pride isn’t just a celebration—it’s a statement of resilience, love, and the relentless pursuit of justice for all. As a queer and out Georgia, being a part of this movement allows me to contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space where everyone can be their authentic selves,” said Elizabeth Fennell, board member of the Atlanta Pride Committee.
Join us on September 14th for an unforgettable experience featuring live music, delicious food, and spectacular performances:
- 🎶 Live Music: Groove to the beats of talented local artists who will keep the celebration alive all day long. Enjoy live music from a fresh new queer act, Cash Honey and Lunar Grove!
- 🍔 Food Trucks: Satisfy your cravings with a variety of delectable bites from our favorite food vendors.
- 👑 Drag Queen Show: Be amazed by dazzling drag performances that capture the essence of Pride. We are so honored to have Atlanta drag performer Mona Lott joining us for an exclusive performance to close out the event.
“Supporting the LGBTQ+ community is not just about being a good business; it’s about being a good neighbor,” said Thomas Monti, owner of Schoolhouse Brewing. At Schoolhouse Brewing, we believe in fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. Partnering with Atlanta Pride allows us to give back to a community that has been instrumental in shaping our city into a place of diversity, creativity, and acceptance. We’re proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ friends and family, not just during Pride, but every day.”
