Atlanta’s Finest Catering to Compete on Lifetime’s “Catering Wars: Atlanta”

Cobb Chamber member Atlanta’s Finest Catering is the star of a new Lifetime network reality TV show, “Catering Wars: Atlanta.” The catering company will compete against three other Atlanta-area caterers in a show about outbidding the competition and completing many unique event requests.

Owner Lorie Bomar is no stranger to working hard: her company has more than 50 weddings scheduled for the next two months. In addition to running her successful business, she’ll be promoting “Catering Wars: Atlanta” by appearing on “Good Morning America” and “David Letterman.”

Each hour-long episode focuses around three different catering events. Atlanta’s Finest Catering’s competition includes Hottie Hawg’s Barbecue, Pat’s Party Perfect and Ocean Catering.

On the show, the companies will work to outbid one another for events at caterbid.com. Then, the episode will follow each company as it plans for the events it wins. Once bidding is completed, more surprises are in store.

“It’s online bidding,” said Bomar. “They’re looking at their computer, we’re looking at our computer, the time’s running out. You’ve only got so many times to react.”

“I don’t work 40 hours a week. I don’t work 80 hours a week. I work about 110 hours every single week,” Bomar said. Her commitment to work surely has paid off. The Chamber wishes Bomar and Atlanta’s Finest Catering success on the show.
