Braves Announce On-Sale Date for Season Tickets for Inaugural Season at SunTrust Park
Fans who purchase in opening days will receive exclusive hard hat tour of new ballpark
With the opening of SunTrust Park less than a year away, Atlanta Braves fans who want to be a part of the historic new ballpark can purchase season tickets beginning this Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 9 a.m. Until now, season tickets were only available to current A List members. Now any Braves fan can be a part of the first season at SunTrust Park.
“We know the inaugural season at SunTrust Park will be one Braves fans will not want to miss,” said Derek Schiller, Atlanta Braves president, business. “Every Opening Day is special, but the first pitch in SunTrust Park marks a new era in Braves baseball and we are excited to offer the opportunity to be there on that monumental day to all of Braves Country.”
Fans who purchase season tickets between May 10 and May 13 won’t have to wait until Opening Day of 2017 to see the ballpark as they will be given access to an exclusive hard hat tour of SunTrust Park during the summer/early fall of 2016.
Season tickets can be purchased either online at www.braves.com/suntrustpark, by calling 404.577.9100 or by appointment at the SunTrust Park Preview Center overlooking the new ballpark. Appointments at the Preview Center can be made by phone or by emailing SunTrustParkScheduling@braves.com. Whether purchasing online or in person, the Braves ticketing platform will allow fans to view the entire ballpark and select the seat that best suits their needs. Once they make a selection, they will be able to sample the view from their specific seat.
“We know that it is hard to envision a ballpark that isn’t complete yet, so we’ve invested a lot of time and effort to recreate the experience inside the ballpark through our software platform,” explained Schiller. “The feedback from our A List members who have been inside the Preview Center has been phenomenal and we are excited to now offer it to all of our great fans.”
SunTrust Park will have a wide variety of seating options that will cater to all types of fans. A List members will have a number of choices of either non-premium seats that range from $7-$98, or premium seating that ranges from $92-$500. More than 15,000 seats available as season tickets will be priced at $20 or under per seat, with more than 6,000 seats at less than $10. Nearly 6,000 seats will have added value built into the ticket — including food and beverage credits and special area access – with memberships starting at $40 per ticket. Fans can pay in full or have the option of a ten-month payment plan with 10 percent down at the time of purchase and monthly payments beginning in July 2016.
SunTrust Park will be the perfect marriage of classic ballpark feel, modern amenities and technological innovation. An intimate setting of 41,500 seats (20 percent smaller than Turner Field) will be designed to maximize sightlines, and bring more seats closer to the playing field. Additionally, an extensive canopy – approximately three times larger than most ballparks – will provide cover for 60 percent of the seats, while wider concourses, most with direct views to the field, will allow easy access around the ballpark and to specialty food and beverage areas.
