The College of Continuing and Professional Education will host a free Career Training Expo at KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, Ga. 30144) on July 30 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The event is designed to assist anyone who desires to re-enter the workforce, change careers or advance in their current position. Guests can attend several information sessions covering multiple industries. They will offer financial aid sessions and career coaching.
The Expo will feature 50+ professional certificate programs including Professional Development of Gerontology, Culinary, Web Design, Paralegal, Project Management, Medical Assisting, Group Fitness Instructor and Payroll Professional. New programs include Cisco, Residential Landscape Design and Lean Six Sigma.
Attendees will be able to meet with instructors as well as recent program graduates at the information sessions. Career Coach John Long will be leading sessions on interviewing and personal branding. Financial aid advisers including Wells Fargo and Cobb Works will be available to discuss options such as VA Education Benefits and Workforce Investment Act Funding.
