Today, the Cobb Chamber has named Mitch Rhoden, President and CEO of Futren Hospitality, as its 2019 Chairman of the Board.
Rhoden will succeed Trey Sanders, Regional President of Brasfield & Gorrie, who begins his term as Chairman of the Board in 2018. Rhoden will start his term as Chairman in January 2019.

In terms of experience, Mitch has been on our Board of Directors since 2004, where he contributed his skills to the mission of the Chamber over and over again,” said David Connell, President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber. “Futren Hospitality has been very active in our Chamber for decades, and Mitch has exhibited his commitment to Cobb’s business community through his many leadership roles and volunteer efforts.”
Rhoden has been involved in the Cobb Chamber for 16 years. In that time he has served on Chamber’s Board of Directors with roles including Leadership Cobb Co-Chairman, Leadership Cobb Alumni Association Chairman, East Cobb Area Council Chairman and Vice Chairman, and the Cumberland Area Council Director. Rhoden has served on the Chamber’s Executive Committee since 2014 as Vice Chairman of Member Development and the 2017 Membership Campaign, Vice Chairman of Marketing and Communications, and Vice Chairman of Member and Community Programs. Last year, Rhoden was recognized with the Chamber’s Chairman’s Award. The Chairman’s award is presented to an individual for outstanding leadership, dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to the Cobb Chamber. Rhoden was honored for his role in organizing the grand opening celebration of the Military Family Support Center.
As President of Futren Hospitality, Rhoden is responsible for the management and ongoing operations for the organization, Indian Hills Country Club, The Georgian Club, The Orchard Golf & Country Club, Woodland Hills Golf Club, and the National Alliance of Private Clubs, as well as other corporate interests. From 1997 until May 2001, Rhoden was an Engineer Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and an M.B.A. from Kennesaw State University. Rhoden is also a licensed Georgia real estate broker.
In addition to his volunteer service at the Cobb Chamber, Rhoden has devoted himself to several local non-profits. Rhoden is currently serving on the Board of Directors for The Atlanta Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America. He is also the leader of Cub Scout Pack 83 in Marietta. Rhoden is an advocate for and supporter of Shepherd’s Men, a non-profit organization which provides financial assistance to the SHARE Military Initiative for post-9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. Rhoden is the past President of the Rotary Club of Marietta and served on the Board of MUST Ministries. Rhoden and his family are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He is married to Lane Rhoden, of Tallahassee, Fla., and they live in Marietta with their three sons.
