Cobb Convention Center Atlanta Launches Refreshed Website to Reflect New Brand Identity

Clockwork Web Dev updates digital presence for one of Atlanta’s premier event venues as it rebrands ahead of a major renovation

Clockwork Web Dev, an Atlanta-based web development agency, announces the launch of a refreshed website for Cobb Convention Center Atlanta. Formerly known as Cobb Galleria Centre, the update marks a significant chapter for the Cumberland-area venue, which has adopted a new name, new logo, and new visual identity as it prepares for a facility renovation expected to continue through 2027.

The new color palette and redesigned logo carry through the entire site, while the design preserves the visual continuity that longtime patrons and event planners already recognize. That through-line comes from the venue’s iconic triangular atrium, whose distinctive diagonal lines connect the old identity to the new site.

The homepage itself underwent significant “renovations” to match the new branding and showcase the building and lobby upgrades. Clockwork assembled a looping hero from concept images and architectural renderings provided by the Cobb Convention Center team. The rendering gives visitors an animated preview of the building and ongoing lobby upgrades.

Clockwork also performed a full content audit and developed a new content strategy with the venue’s in-house SEO team, including schema markup for event-related search visibility. Clockwork built custom WordPress post types for Events, Spaces, and Services so the venue’s non-technical staff can update capacity details, amenities, and technical specifications on their own without any developer involvement.

On the development side, Clockwork built a custom API integration connecting the site’s event booking form directly to Momentus, the venue’s event management platform. What had been a manual data entry process is now automatic, with real-time calendar syncing, error logging, and a fallback system to keep the calendar functional even during API downtime.

The site’s Virtual Tour received a significant upgrade as well. The new 360-degree photography integrates into an enhanced interactive map as well as a Room Finder that lets planners filter spaces by event type, guest count, and layout preference.

Key features of the updated platform include:

  • Content audit and strategy created with Cobb Convention Center’s in-house SEO team
  • Custom WordPress post types for Events, Spaces, and Services
  • Custom Momentus API integration connecting the Book Your Event form directly to their event management platform, eliminating manual data entry
  • Real-time calendar syncing with error logging, staff notifications, and a performance caching system
  • Upgraded Interactive Virtual Tour with new 360-degree photography and a redesigned SVG map
  • Room Finder allowing planners to filter spaces by event type, guest count, and layout
  • New homepage hero video built from concept images and architectural renderings
  • Refreshed logo and visual identity carrying the new brand consistently across all pages

“A rebrand is one of those moments where a website either reinforces the new identity or undermines it,” said Aaron Reimann, CEO of Clockwork Web Dev. “Cobb Convention Center had real equity in their look and feel, so the goal wasn’t to wipe the slate clean. The design honors what people already recognize about the venue while giving everything a fresh, modern feel that matches where they’re headed.”

Clockwork staged the launch so the Cobb Convention Center team could control their own announcement timing. With renovations ongoing, the refreshed site gives the venue a consistent, current presence to put in front of event planners and clients while the physical space continues to progress.

Cobb Convention Center Atlanta has served the greater Atlanta area for decades as one of the region’s most versatile event destinations, offering more than 144,000 square feet of flexible exhibit and meeting space. The rebranded site is live at cobbconvention.com.

“It was a pleasure working with Aaron and the entire team at Clockwork on our website,” said Karen Caro, Director of Marketing and Communications at Cobb Convention Center Atlanta. “From design and content writing to development, our project was handled with the utmost care, attention to detail, and quality. Clockwork was willing to work within our budget to provide a website that reflects the best of our brand. I always felt like they had our best interests at heart.”
