Cobb County Public Libraries are the Place to be This Holiday Season

The Cobb County Public Library System is presenting several programs and activities for the holidays in November and December – including crafts, movies, story time for young children and more. This is a great way to keep the kiddies busy while they’re on holiday breaks this year! Here is a complete list of these merry and bright programs:

Family Fun Time Celebrates Thanksgiving at East Cobb Library on November 18 at 3:30 p.m. Information: (770) 509-2730.

Thanksgiving Movies at East Cobb Library on November 23-25 and November 18 at 2 p.m. daily. Family movies for all ages and a craft table for children. Information: (770) 509-2730.

Gift Tag making program at Mountain View Regional Library on November 21, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Set your gifts apart from others. Create customized gift tags. Appropriate for grades 6-12. Registration is required. (770) 509-2725.

Have a Happy Minecraft Holiday! at Mountain View Regional Library on December 5, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Kids in grades K-5 will build their very own Minecraft gingerbread house. Registration is required. (770) 509-4964.

Holiday Movies at East Cobb Library on December 21-23 at 2 p.m. Monday: Polar Express. Tuesday: It’s a Wonderful Life. Wednesday: The Santa Claus.

Tuesday Lunchtime Movie: It’s a Wonderful Life at Switzer Library on December 22 from noon to 2 p.m. Frank Capra’s classic featuring James Stewart. Information: (770) 528-2320.

Holiday Card Make-and-Take on December 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Families with children can create cards for the holidays during this drop-in program. Information: (770) 509-2730.

The Teen Holiday Break movie will be the anime feature Steamboy at Kemp Memorial Library on December 29 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drawing materials will be provided or bring your own. For grades 6 and up. Information: (770) 528-2527.
