Get your sketchbooks ready and your creativity flowing! Cobb County Public Library (CCPL) is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Design the Season” contest, an open invitation for local creators to design the official Summer 26’ People’s Collection for The Cobb Library Shop.
This isn’t just a contest; it’s a partnership and a chance to see your vision come to life on everything from trendy tote bags and sneakers to limited-edition apparel. They are looking for original artwork that captures the heart of our community—think literature, summer vibes, local Cobb landscapes, and pure joy.
The Cobb Library Shop is a powerhouse for good—a community-driven brand where every purchase directly invests in the future of literacy and learning across Cobb County. By designing for the shop, you are helping fuel the programs that make Cobb County Public Library thrive.
The final winners will see their designs headlined in The Shop for all of Cobb to see. Plus, each winner will snag an exclusive prize pack featuring merchandise printed with their own winning design and a curated bundle of “must-have” CCPL library swag.
How to Enter the “Summer 26’ People’s Collection” Showdown:
- Submit & Review: The submission portal is officially OPEN! You have four weeks to submit as many designs as your heart desires. Their team will review all entries and select the “Top 10” finalists that best capture the spirit of the season.
- The Community Vote: Once the Top 10 are chosen, the power moves to YOU. The Cobb community will vote online to decide the Top 3 favorite designs.
- Victory is Yours: The winning designs will be officially produced and launched as the anchor of the Summer ’26 Collection!
“We’re committed to working hand-in-hand with our winners to translate their raw creativity into professional-grade mockups, ensuring their vision is preserved from the first sketch to the final product,” says Slone Williams, CCPL Community & User Engagement Division Manager. “We want to sit down with these artists, hear their stories, and share the ‘why’ behind their art with the community. This is a team effort to prove that the most beautiful things in our shop are the stories of the people who live here. By launching the ‘Design the Season’ contest, we are inviting local creators to define our Summer 26’ aesthetic. We want this collection to be a wearable celebration of the culture and creativity that make Cobb County unique.”
Submissions must be received before midnight (11:59 p.m.) on Friday, May 29, 2026.
