IJPJ_Cobb_Diaper_Day_LOGOThe Cobb Diaper Day Committee will be holding it’s Seventh Annual Diaper Day to collect, you guessed it, diapers for low-income families through the month of October. A community-wide collection will take place on October 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Glover Park on the Marietta Square.

All donated diapers will be given to the Center for Family Resources, MUST Ministries, Reconnecting Families, Sweetwater Mission, United Military Care and the YWCA of Northwest Georgia for distribution to help ease some of the burden of the hundreds of families with infants that enter their doors each month.

Did you know Food stamps do not include hygiene products such as diapers, and on average, the cost to purchase them is approximately $100 or more a month? Local non-profit agencies have daily requests for diapers, however due to limited supply and donations they can only dispense diapers 4 to 6 times a year per client. But you can help!

The Cobb Diaper Day Committee is asking the business community, concerned citizens and non-profit organizations to collect diapers for all ages and sizes from employees, members, friends and neighbors throughout the month of October. In the last six years, nearly 400,000 diapers have been donated to assist low-income families. You can call 404-276-0808 to arrange for volunteers to pick up the donations you’ve collected, or you can drop them off at Glover Park on the Marietta Square on Cobb Diaper Day.

Let’s make this the most successful Cobb Diaper Day ever! Visit www.cobbdiaperday.com for more information and find out how little things can make a big difference!
