Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority Announces Promotion and New Hire

The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority is pleased to announce the promotion of Bassem Maarouf to the position of Director of Food & Beverage and the hiring of Kristin Evans as the Director of Administration for the Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, and Galleria Specialty Shops.

Maarouf, a 26-year veteran of the organization, was most recently the Banquet Manager. As Director of Food & Beverage, Maarouf will provide strategic leadership and execution of the company’s food and beverage concepts. Maarouf joined the organization in 1997 as a banquet server and has gained experience in roles with increasing responsibility throughout the years. A Kennesaw resident, Maarouf holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Evans joins the Authority from Kennesaw State University, where she held several roles within the leadership team in the Department of Events and Venue Management over the last 12 years. She has 27 years of experience in events. In her new role, Evans will work on implementation and management of projects, procurement, contract compliance and risk management. She is a graduate of Marquette University.
