COBB-MARIETTA COLISEUM & EXHIBIT HALL AUTHORITY RELEASES 2021 ANNUAL REPORT

Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and ArtsBridge Foundation recently released their joint 2021 Annual Report. The Annual Report is dedicated to the men and women who work for the Authority.

Like last year, the COVID-19 pandemic took a tremendous toll on the fiscal year 2021 financial performance. Cobb Galleria Centre saw event cancellations and lower than expected booking activity, however the second half of they year showed steady improvement compared to 2020. Despite being closed for more than 18 months, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre worked creatively with resident companies to execute outdoor events.

Both venues generated approximately $38.7 million in overall economic impact for Cobb County and the State of Georgia, based on an economic impact study performed by an independent consulting firm.

ArtsBridge Foundation, the arts education outreach arm of the Cobb Energy Centre, held a completely virtual slate of programming in 2021 including master classes and the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards – Shuler Hensley Awards®. The 2020 virtual production earned ArtsBridge its fourth Southeast Emmy® Award.

“This Annual Report illustrates the resiliency of our staff as we navigated through a challenging economic environment alongside our leadership, clients, and partners, and how at the end of this fiscal year, we came out stronger together,” said Michele Swann, General Manager and CEO of the Authority. “We are incredibly proud of our ONE TEAM, ONE COMPANY culture and the way we supported one another by going above and beyond to execute our mission.”
