CROFT & Associates Announces National Recipient of the PSMJ Resources, AEC Building a Better World Award

CROFT & Associates is proud to announce that CROFT has been named one of the 2025 recipients of PSMJ’s Building a Better World Award, one of the nation’s most respected honors recognizing architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms that exceed in project delivery to make a lasting difference in their communities. The Building a Better World Award is presented annually to companies that go above and beyond project delivery to make a lasting difference in their communities. This award acknowledges firms that pair professional success with genuine community impact.

This year’s honoree was selected from nominations across the nation.
CROFT was recognized for its deep and sustained commitment to serving people in the communities where the firm lives and works. Through its CROFT Cares initiative, the firm has built long-standing partnerships with organizations like CURE Childhood Cancer and supported more than 30 local nonprofits, including Mission 1:27, LiveSafe Resources, the Center for Family Resources, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Truth in Nature, Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Haven House. Their team has brought joy to children with thousands of holiday gifts through Toys for Tots, stood behind a single mother, in law enforcement with life-changing support, provided meals to students experiencing food insecurity, and invested countless hours volunteering side-by-side in the neighborhoods they call home. CROFT is not only a financial partner, but also a roll-up-the-sleeves, boots-on-the-ground partner—committed to building stronger communities by serving alongside the people and organizations they support.

“The Building a Better World Award is especially meaningful to CROFT because it recognizes the heart behind what we do—serving people and strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Stacey Chapman, Principal and Senior Vice President at CROFT. “This honor reflects the compassion and commitment of our employees, who don’t just show up for projects, but show up for people.”

CROFT will be formally recognized at the AEC THRIVE – The Growth, Profit, and Success Summit for AEC Firm Leaders on October 1-3, 2025 in Chicago. This unique conference is an opportunity to hear directly from the leaders of top-performing architecture and engineering firms and other industry visionaries on specific growth, profit, and performance improvement practices and how to replicate them.

“Architecture should always be a force for good,” said CROFT founder and CEO, Jim Croft. “Design is our passion, but our true purpose is to serve beyond architecture. We are more than architects and engineers – we are your neighbors. We’re the ones coaching your kids’ teams, sitting beside you in church, building Habitat homes, wrapping gifts for families in need, and showing up with authentic hearts to serve our communities. At CROFT, giving back isn’t an initiative, it’s who we are.”
