CROFT & Associates Announces “Transformative” Merger with South Carolina-Based Architecture Firm PMH

Kennesaw, GA and Myrtle Beach, SC – August 14, 2024 – National architecture and engineering firm CROFT & Associates (CROFT), headquartered in Kennesaw, is pleased to announce its merger with Pike – McFarland – Hall Associates (PMH), a well-established architectural firm with a 27-year legacy of notable projects out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

With a focus on maintaining the exceptional standards and client relationships that have distinguished both organizations, the newly established entity will provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services under one roof.

Milestone Merger Punctuates CROFT’s 20th Anniversary Year

This year marks CROFT’s 20th anniversary, and the merger with PMH serves as a significant milestone, emphasizing the company’s ongoing commitment to growth, expansion, quality and innovation.

In CROFT’s 20 years as an organization, it has grown year-over-year in its service offerings, clients, geography, staff size and revenue, with projects currently extending across 42 states, the British Virgin Islands and abroad. In the past five years in particular, CROFT has tripled its revenue and expanded its reach into four new markets: Denver (2021), Charlotte (2022), Savannah (2023), and now Myrtle Beach through the merger with PMH.

“Welcoming PMH into the CROFT family is an exciting step forward for our company and people,” said Jim Croft, founder and CEO of CROFT. “Their talented team and successful track record align perfectly with our culture and our commitment to excellence. Together, we will provide unparalleled architectural and engineering services to our clients, ensuring they benefit from a deeper bench of resources and nationwide experience.”

PMH Strengthens Capabilities, Expands Services with Partnership

PMH’s decision to join forces with CROFT came after an extensive exploratory phase of other firms across the country.

“For months, Pike – McFarland – Hall Associates had been exploring collaborations to enhance our services and strengthen our capacity. When we were finally introduced to CROFT and their team of over 90+ well-qualified industry professionals, we knew pretty quickly they were the right partner for us,” said Joe Pike, PMH founding partner and president. “The merger signifies not only the union of two respected firms but also the strengthening of capabilities and the expansion of resources. Clients can expect the same dedicated professionals and high-quality service they have come to trust, now with additional in-house service offerings ranging from interior design to MEP and civil engineering. We have become a unified team, bringing together decades of collective expertise, ultimately making us stronger than ever.”

For PMH, joining CROFT provided a natural strategic step forward – an “evolution, not a departure” as characterized by Pike. While its team remains the same, it’s now backed by a wealth of additional resources and in-house engineering expertise. Through the partnership with PMH, CROFT gained the chance to extend its reach into the South Carolina market. PMH not only enhances CROFT’s service offerings and expertise in key sectors like K-12 education, higher education, and local government but also brings a solid and proven track record within its market.

Shared Commitment to Clients and Community

CROFT will continue to uphold the core values and client relationships that have been the foundation of both companies. Both prioritize a people-first philosophy in their delivery of services and in how they run internal operations.

“Our aligned values, vision and philosophies are truly what set this opportunity apart and we are excited not only about the incredible work we will do together but the impact we’ll be able to make in our respective communities as a result of this partnership,” said Jim Croft.

CROFT and PMH have jointly developed an integration strategy, aiming to synergize their strengths and further cement CROFT’s position as an industry leader.

As part of the merger, PMH will become PMH | CROFT.
