Full-service consulting firm Croy Engineering announced the addition of David West, PE as a Project Manager for its Municipal Utilities team. Based at Croy’s Huntsville office location, West will support clients across northern Alabama and Tennessee, while also expanding the firm’s footprint in markets across the Southeast.
“Being from a rural town in northern Alabama, I have first-hand experience of the challenges that growing towns face due to the complexities of water and wastewater-related solutions. Having worked alongside Croy employees for the past several years, I have observed their passion for their clients and employees, and I am looking forward to working for a company that takes pride in helping these communities grow,” said West.
Throughout his nearly 20-year career, West has provided design services for and oversight of a wide array of projects in water and wastewater infrastructure, roadway improvement, and airport development. He has managed teams who have successfully completed pump station, water tank, water main, sewer pipe, and meter vault projects, to name a few. In addition, his experience includes coordination efforts with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), as well as the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).
“David brings extensive experience in civil engineering, project management, and client development across multiple states to our team,” said Melanie Head, PE, head of the Municipal Utilities group for Croy. “We are excited to have him join us and look forward to the contributions he will make that will ensure we continue to provide excellent service and quality deliverables to all of our clients.”
West holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in several Southeastern states, including Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. In addition, West is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), as well as the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
