Croy Announces Hire of Jason Gaines, AICP, Expands Planning Capabilities Across Southeast

Georgia-based, full-service consulting firm Croy announced the hire of Jason Gaines, AICP as its Director of Planning. In this role, Gaines will oversee Croy’s planning efforts, support existing clients while building new relationships, and work with communities to develop plans that leverage their unique assets.

His established track record in providing exceptional planning services to both public and private sector clients will expand our firm’s footprint throughout the Southeast.”

A 20-year veteran of the planning and community/economic development profession, Gaines is dedicated to helping communities attract new business, retain employers, and plan for quality development. He has served in various roles, including as Director of Planning, Director of Community Development, and Economic Development Division Manager, both within the engineering industry and for local cities and counties. He is experienced in local government planning and administration, specializing in economic development and the integration of transportation and land use.

Gaines holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Miami University and a Master of City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He currently serves as a member of the Cobb Chamber Board, as well as Chair of both the City of Mableton’s Development Authority Board and the Council for Quality Growth’s North Fulton Advisory Committee. He is a certified planner (AICP) and is a graduate of Leadership Cobb, Leadership Dekalb, and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s (ARC) Regional Leadership Institute programs.

Gaines is based in Croy’s Marietta, Ga. headquarters, located at 200 Cobb Parkway North, Building 400, Suite 413. Croy also operates offices in Chattanooga, Tenn. and Huntsville, Ala., employing more than 100 professionals company-wide. The firm’s planning expertise spans areas such as freight mobility, master planning, GIS analysis, government consulting, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and streetscaping.
