Georgia-based, full-service consulting firm Croy announced the hire of Mike Barger, PLS as its Director of Land Surveying Services. In this role, Barger will provide oversight of Croy’s surveying and mapping efforts, as well as work to support existing clients, build new relationships, and continue to ensure production of quality deliverables.

In addition, his experience and leadership will enable us to continue to support our internal engineering teams.”
With nearly 40 years of experience, Barger has provided surveying services for transportation projects, civil/site development, utility, and infrastructure projects across Georgia. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Croy’s current capabilities in 3D laser scanning, topographical and boundary surveys, and bathymetric surveys.

Barger is currently a member of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia (SAMSOG). He is a registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Level II Certified Design Professional. He is also a graduate of Middle Georgia State University’s Surveying Certificate Program.
Barger is based in Croy’s Marietta, Ga. headquarters, located at 200 Cobb Parkway North, Building 400, Suite 413. Croy also operates offices in Chattanooga, Tenn. and Huntsville, Ala., employing more than 100 professionals companywide. The firm’s surveying and mapping capabilities span 3D laser scanning, construction staking, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), as well as aerial, ALTA/NSPS, boundary retracement, engineering design, and route surveys. Additionally, Croy provides database preparation, including those required by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and is prequalified with GDOT in Area Classes: 5.01 (Land Surveying), 5.02 (Engineering Surveying), 5.03 (Geodetic Surveying), 5.07 (Cartography), and 5.08 (Subsurface Utility Engineering).
