Delta Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of new branch managers at its two Marietta locations. Kara Buckner has been named manager of the credit union’s branch at 2627 Dallas Highway, SW, and Greg Fugate has been named manager of its branch at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road.
Buckner has nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry, including six years of management experience. She joined Delta Community in 2022, and most recently served as branch manager of the Johnson Ferry Road location, where she has earned a reputation for delivering superior member service, developing team members and providing strong leadership.
“I am thrilled to continue serving Marietta and Cobb County residents,” Buckner said. “I love the credit union’s people-first approach, and my team and I look forward to helping local families and business owners reach their financial goals.”
Fugate, a longtime resident of East Cobb County, will head the Johnson Ferry branch. He began his career at Delta Community in 2022, serving as a Hybrid Member Service Agent at the same branch before being promoted to head teller. He later served as assistant branch manager at the credit union’s Alpharetta branch and now returns to Johnson Ferry with a strong understanding of the branch, members and community.
“I began my Delta Community career at this branch, so it is very rewarding to now have the opportunity to lead it,” Fugate said. “As a proud ‘East Cobber’ for more than three decades, it is truly a privilege to have community members trust me and my team with their banking needs.”
Buckner and Fugate look forward to deepening relationships in Marietta and Cobb County. Both welcome opportunities to partner with local schools and organizations through Delta Community’s financial literacy and education initiatives.
In addition to the Marietta locations, Delta Community has a branch in Vinings. Together, the three branches help serve more than 40,000 members living in Cobb County.
