Dry County Brewing Company is a local craft brewery owned by two Georgia natives and longtime friends who followed their passion and ended up creating a well-known brewing company in Kennesaw. Dry County Brewing prides itself on serving up quality, consistency, innovation, and outstanding customer service. Dry County produces numerous innovative brands, including: NeonNeon Berliner Weisse, a sour beer which utilizes AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery yogurt in the production of the finished product, and which has won various awards around Georgia. Dry County Brewing Company partners with Kennesaw Bourbon Ale and a local Cobb County distiller Lazy Guy Distillery to produce a finished product containing both Cobb County beer and Cobb County liquor. Dry County beers can be found throughout the Cobb County community and now state-wide in bars, restaurants, and package and grocery stores.
Dry County is the first brewery in the history of Georgia to be licensed as a distillery, meaning in 2018 Dry County will produce both beer and liquor products. This milestone took over a year to come to fruition, fighting through legal and regulatory hoops to make it a reality. Dry County founder, Trey Sinclair, spent countless hours trading emails and phone calls with local politicians, lawyers, and lobbyists, and in conjunction with the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild, made multiple trips to the state capitol to lobby for change. In September 2017, Senate Bill 85 officially went into effect, and Georgia joined the rest of the nation in allowing consumers to purchase beer directly from breweries. In recognition of his service and commitment to the cause, Sinclair was named, and currently serves as, Co-Chair of Regulatory Affairs for the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild.
Dry County Brewing Company focuses on brewing world class craft beers in Georgia for Georgians. Despite Dry County’s great success and large increase in growth, the company has maintained its commitment to not expand beyond state lines, pouring every drop of beer and dollar of profit back into the local community and economy. This commitment to local growth has won over many retailers, consumers, and contributors and has created success for this Top 25 Small Businesses of the Year winner.
