The Cobb Chamber’s Marquee Monday event series continues on Monday, February 13 with Georgia Institute of Technology President Dr. Ángel Cabrera. Dr. Cabrera will sit down with 2023 Cobb Chamber Chairman Greg Teague to discuss how Georgia Tech impacts Georgia’s economic development and share the latest news on the Georgia Tech Research Institute in Cobb.
Dr. Ángel Cabrera is the 12th president of the Georgia Institute of Technology. One of America’s leading research universities, Georgia Tech serves more than 45,000 students through top-ranked graduate and undergraduate programs ranging from engineering and science to business, computing, design, and liberal arts, and receives nearly $1.3 billion in annual research awards. Dr. Cabrera came to Georgia Tech on Sept. 1, 2019, after serving for seven years as president of George Mason University (GMU) in Virginia. Under his leadership, more than 5,700 members of the Georgia Tech community contributed to a new 10-year strategic plan that launched in November 2020. The plan is grounded on a new mission statement that reaffirms Tech’s commitment to “developing leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition.”
In addition to the fireside chat, the February program will kick-off the Chamber’s 42nd membership campaign.
Please note that our 2023 Marquee Monday event series will be a monthly luncheon event at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre. Each month, doors will open at 11:15 a.m. and the program begins at 12 p.m. and concludes by 1 p.m.
Registration is now open through February 8 for the February Marquee Monday. Tickets are $35 for Cobb Chamber members and $40 for non-members.
