Oil Spill in the Gulf

As the oil spill threatens marine and coastal habitats throughout the Gulf, Cobb Chamber member The Georgia Aquarium, as part of the Southeast Stranding Network, and Georgia Aquarium’s Dolphin Conservation Field Station have jointly offered up their expertise, manpower and equipment to assist in any potential manner regarding the recent oil spill in the Gulf.

This may include the use of each facility’s rescue equipment and services, as well as the skills and knowledge of trained and experienced professionals whose resumes include work with previous oil spills affecting marine birds, sea turtles and marine mammals around the world. In addition, The Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest aquarium, is working with mobilized teams in the field to send prepped food on-site for rescued animals as they come in to field stations.
