Starting October 4 through October 31, a local community hero can Sleep Beautifully Tonight
As a token of appreciation for local heroes who always commit to others above themselves, Georgia Furniture Mart is asking the public to nominate someone they feel is a hero during these challenging times. Called Sleep Beautifully Tonight, the Grand Prize winner will be selected from submitted nominations/entries and be invited to the Georgia Furniture Mart Showroom on Dawson Blvd in Norcross to select the bedroom set of their dreams (read all the rules here). The set will be chosen from the amazing selection and variety of styles featured in the Georgia Furniture Mart showroom floor and valued at $3000.
“2021 has been a year of resilience so far for all of us, and we are so thankful for all the police, fire, teachers and healthcare workers throughout our community,” said Georgia Furniture Mart CEO and Founder Mike Hall. “My hope in recognizing our community heroes is that in some small way they can realize how much we appreciate what they do.”
Georgia Furniture Mart is also donating more than 200 breakfast and lunches to local heroes by its Norcross store location. Store employees will deliver to Gwinnett County police, fire, teachers and healthcare workers during October Heroes celebration. Here is when and where they will be delivering to:
October 1 – Northside Hospital Gwinnett – 1000 Medical Center Blvd Lawrenceville
October 8 – Gwinnett County Fire Station 11 – 5885 Live Oak Pkwy Norcross
October 15 – Shiloh Elementary School – 2400 Ross Rd SW, Snellville
October 29 – Gwinnett County Police – 6160 Crescent Drive Norcross
The Sleep Beautifully Tonight contest offers anyone the opportunity to nominate someone they feel is a hero during these challenging times. You can nominate your hero starting Sunday, October 4 through October 31 by visiting www.georgiafurnituremart.com/sleepbeautifullytonight and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the entry form and submit an essay of 250 words or less that describes a local hero who went above and beyond in their community and deserves to “Sleep Beautifully Tonight”.
After October 31, three finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges and posted on Georgia Furniture Website for public voting. Voting is easy. Just click on your favorite heroes’ story starting November 8 through November 21. The more you vote the more they have a chance to win.
“It is my hope through this contest we can shine a light on those who have been an inspiration and helped all of us in some small way,” says Hall.
