Taylor Rambo has been named as the incoming executive director of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra (GSO), effective July 1, 2021. Rambo will succeed Executive Director Susan Stensland, who will retire after 15 years of distinguished service and join the GSO board of directors.
A native of Marietta, Ga., Rambo is a performing arts professional with more than five years of experience in arts management and fundraising. He previously served as the major gifts and campaign manager with Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C., and has held fundraising and staff positions at the American Pops Orchestra, The Washington Ballet, and APAP, the Association of Performing Arts Professionals. For the past few months, he has served as a development consultant with the GSO.
Rambo earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music business and entertainment industries and a Master of Arts degree in arts presenting and live entertainment management from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.
He holds professional memberships with APAP and the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is an alumnus of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia national fraternal society in music.
