Goodr to provide 40,000 free meals to families via a series of 5 grocery popup stores
Goodr announces a new partnership with the City of Powder Springs. This partnership will produce a series of five popup grocery stores throughout March and April. The series kicked-off on March 4 with a successful grocery popup for over 200 families. Additional food was provided to United Methodist Church of Powder Springs led by the Rev. Roger Vest.
“We are honored to partner with the City of Powder Springs and proud of the good we get to do
together. We hope this is just the beginning,” says Blake H. Engelhard, Director of Growth at
Goodr.
Together, Goodr and the City of Powder Springs will provide families 7-10 days’ worth of
groceries that will include shelf-stable items, meats, dairy/non-dairy milk, and fresh produce.
The full-service drive through experience allows sign-ups to receive groceries with minimal
contact, traffic, and wait-time. With a DJ in full-force, the popup grocery store looked more like
a celebration than a charity event.
Families residing in the city of Powder Springs may pre-register online for the popup grocery
stores. Registration is now open for Thursday, March 25th.
The remaining three popup stores will be April 9, 22 and 29.
