Help Shape the Future of Downtown Powder Springs: PS I Love Downtown Event Set for January 15

Downtown Powder Springs is more than a destination – it is the heart of the community. On Thursday, January 15, 2026, the City of Powder Springs will host PS I Love Downtown, a progressive-style community event designed to gather public input on downtown’s future while celebrating the local businesses that make it special.

The event will take place throughout Downtown Powder Springs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature a walkable, come-and-go format. Participating downtown businesses will host short, topic-specific input stations where attendees can share feedback on recommendations from the Springs in Motion LCI Plan as well as a feasibility study for select City-owned properties.

City staff and the project consultant team will be available throughout the evening to answer questions, discuss ideas, and collect feedback. The format is designed to make participation easy, interactive, and engaging, while allowing attendees to explore downtown and support local businesses.

“Downtown Powder Springs has always been a place where community comes together,” said Mayor Al Thurman. “PS I Love Downtown gives residents a chance to support local businesses while having a direct voice in shaping the future of our downtown.”

City Manager Pam Conner added, “This event reflects our commitment to planning with the community, not just for the community. The feedback we receive will help guide thoughtful investments and ensure downtown continues to grow in a way that reflects Powder Springs’ character and values.”
